A rich looking wooden box measuring 9 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 and is finished in a dark cherry stain and lined in rich, red satin. The box is beautifully adorned with a gold silhouette of the Magi camel caravan following the Christmas Star and is finished with an ornate brass latch.
The set contains an American hand-blown glass ball filled with 23 karat gold flakes that float like snowflakes. The ball is specially made so that the multiple curved surfaces reflect and refract the gold and make is dance and sparkle, frankincense from the same region as the original gift brought by Balthasar and myrrh from southern Arabia, the same region as the gift brought by Caspar.
