What is your return policy?
We have a 10 day return policy. All merchandise shipped has been marked with
a code which is then verified if it is returned to us. As long as the item
is the same one we sent, then we will accept the return. If the item is
defective, we will reimburse you for the shipping charges back to us. If there
is nothing wrong with the item, it is the buyers responsibility to return it
to us. We enclose this policy and how to file UPS claims in every package shipped.
What is the mark on all the graphics?
The "mark" is the Someone Special logo. Since graphics can be saved to
your hard drive and then reused, we had to find a way to protect
the investment we have made in creating this site. Since the logo is a
registered trademark, anyone using the graphic bearing the Someone Special
logo is violating Federal trademark laws. In addition, any altering of the
logo is a violation of these laws.
How secure is your on-line ordering process?
We have a Verisign Digital ID. All orders are delivered directly to our server
through an SSL. No credit card numbers, names or addresses are ever at risk. In fact, Ben Narasin, president of Fashionmall.com, in
an interview with Accessories magazine makes a very valid point. In regards
to credit card fraud he says, "...the cardholder wouldn't owe a dime. The
merchant would be protected...and the bank would be responsible. If banks...
were really afraid of this, don't you think they would be the ones screaming
about security risk...".
What does an "authorized retailer" refer to?
Someone Special is authorized by the manufacturer to sell their product with
all the company's benefits passed to the consumer. Some manufacturers allow
the retailer to register the purchase for the consumer, redeem collector's
club figurines and participate in special events.
What are Collector's Clubs?
In order to enhace a collectible, some companys offer clubs to join which
give added benefits to the collector. Newsletters with retirement notices, upcoming
events, new releases or stories about other collectors are featured. Most
clubs also offer a Member's only item that must be ordered through an
authorized retailer. Club dues do not cover the price of the member's only
item, but most clubs are now giving a free gift piece with your membership
which usually offsets the cost of the club dues.
What are the Archives?
The Archives is a collection of retired items no longer available through
our stores. This is a resource for collectors who might want to see if they're
missing any item from a collection. The Archives is not a secondary market
price guide and we do not offer these items for sale. This will be a area
that will continue to grow as more information on older items becomes available.
Do you offer layaway?
Yes. To use our layaway you must make a first payment
of 20% of the total value and then a payment of any size every 30 days after
that. You may have us automatically charge a credit card or you can send a
check or money order for future payments. Receipts are sent for every payment
made on your layaway. Dinnerware and Stemware is not included in our layaway policy. There is
no charge for the use of this service.
