Wedgwood tableware is perfectly safe in a dishwasher if you use one of the detergents tested and endorsed by Wedgwood, in the quantity recommended by the manufacturer.
Microwave OvensMuch Wedgwood tableware has a gold or platinum edge decoration which would be damaged by microwaves. Patterns without such decorations can be used safely.
FreezersWedgwood tableware can be used in a freezer, but should not be subjected to extreme changes of temperature by being put directly from the freezer into a hot oven, as thermal shock can cause damage.
OvensTableware can be warmed gradually and evenly to 100ºC, but should not be exposed to direct heat from a naked flame.
HandlingPlates are best lifted out from a stack, because the hard glazed surfaces together can cause scratching. Similarly, avoid putting too many plates in the water at the same time during hand washing.
